  Introduction

One of the many benefits of the Avaya IP Office family is the flexibility that it offers in choice of handsets to suit varying levels of budget, functionality and of course the option to use IP handsets where this provides an advantage.

  Digital Handsets

Digital handsets typically provide extended functionality to access phone system features through the combination of additional function keys and a digital display. This improves ease of use, particularly where the user wants to use a greater range of the features available on the system.

  Analogue Handsets

Analogue handsets provide the simplest and cheapest handset options. Supplied by third party manufacturers they range in cost from under £20. Display handsets, and handsets with headset capability are further options. Where a cordless phone is required it is possible to add these to the IP Office as analogue devices as an alternative to a full DECT installation.

Audio conferencing phones such as the Polycom Soundstation are typically analogue devices and are available in a range of designs to suit all sizes of meeting or conference rooms.

  IP Handsets

IP handsets can be deployed to suit a number of requirements and are particularly useful when deploying standalone IP endpoints - at a workers home for example. The range of models is extensive, including models with large displays and multiple function keys.
