Convergence is the term that has been given to the bringing together of IT systems and telephony through use of common technologies, in particular IP telephony. The inherent flexibility of the IP Office allows you to choose the pace at which to embrace convergence, wether you want to take advantage of it now, or in the future.

  The IP Office Range

The IP Office is split into two families - The Small Office Edition and the 400 Series. The Small Office Edition, as its name suggests, is designed for home, home office and small business requirements of up to 28 extensions. It offers exceptional value for money for the features that it provides. More information on this range can be found here.

The 400 Series is designed for businesses from 10 to 360 extensions by providing models that are expandable such that they can grow as your requirements grow. Expansion units provide additional capacity and are selected in a combination to meet a sites needs. Expansion units include:

  • Digital expansions - to accommodate digital handsets
  • Analogue expansions - to accommodate analogue handsets
  • ISDN2 - to break out ISDN2 lines from a Primary Rate Interface
  • WAN unit - to provide additional WAN connections

The 400 Series consists of 2 models:

  • IP Office 406v2 - expandable by up to six expansion units; supports up to 180 extensions
  • IP Office 412 - expandable by up to twelve expansion units; supports up to 360 extensions

In addition to the above extension capacities the units also support further IP Phones.

Voicemail Pro

Voicemail Lite comes as standard with all of the IP Office systems, however organisations that want sophisticated voicemail and advanced automated call handling, Voicemail Pro provides the solution. Auto Attendant call flows can be built in the graphical software interface and it includes functions such as dial by name whereby a caller can select an extension by keying in part of the person's surname on the telephone keypad and selecting a matching entry. Integrations with SQL database using similar techniques are also possible.

Phone Manager & TAPI

This desktop software comes free with the system and allows the user complete control over the handset. The main display provides call information such as caller line identity enabling the user to identify the call before answering it, and control over the call for holding, transfering, hangup, park, or placing calls into conference. Additional tabbed pages provide access to speed dials, missed call lists and access to the voicemail system. A TAPI interface is provided free with the system and allows integration between PC applications such as Outlook and the IP Office. One typical benefit of this is to be able to dial numbers that are stored in Outlook contact information by a simple mouse click.

Phone Manager Pro & Soft Console

Phnoe Manager Pro is an upgrade to the standard Phone Manager and provides a number of additional features including enhanced control of voicemail, screen popping of applications such as Outlook, monitoring of hunt group queues, door release buttons. Soft Console is a software alternative for a traditional operators advanced handset. It provides a large display for incoming call information and information on busy extensions, queue status and other information. It is highly recommended for the busier switchboard.
