- Can Flyingboat be used in a funds environment?
-
Yes. A number of our clients are involved in various aspects of fund administration and Flyingboat supports their requirements in a number of ways. Flyingboat’s bookkeeping sub‑system can track the complete bookkeeping requirement including the assets and valuations of funds. The Statutory sub‑system is used to record the corporate records of the fund.
Flyingboat’s facilities for multi entity reporting provides the ability to aggregate data and take a system wide view, or sub group view.
- Does Flyingboat support multiple offices or managed trust companies?
-
Yes. The office is usually the trust company itself and Flyingboat supports an unlimited number of offices within a database. Users can be associated with one or more offices and office filtering enables users to be restricted to just those clients that belong to the offices for which they are permissioned to access. A further option allows users to be locked into one office for a session. These features ensure that users can either have a complete view or a restricted view of data depending on what the requirements are.
Flyingboat also supports inter office billing which is typically used in the managed trust company environment whereby time recorded against one client in respect of one office, can then be ‘re‑billed’ between the office providing the staff and the managed trust company.
- Can Flyingboat be used in a Terminal Server environment?
-
Yes. Flyingboat is fully functional in Ms Terminal Server environment. To optimise it’s performance in this environment, particularly where it is used across WAN’s we have included configuration options to minimise use of un‑necessary graphics. We have a number of clients using this environment to allow users in different parts of the world to access a single Flyingboat database.
