Introduction
Installation of structured cabling systems has been part of our core business since 1996. We hold the Channel Islands franchise for Hellerman Tyton's Network Sciences product range that gives us an excellent range of products to suit common and not so common structured cabling requirements.
We have built an impressive installation history having successfully completed projects in all types of buildings from the most modern offices with raised floor systems to the most demanding environments of historical importance and architectural features requiring the most careful and sympathetic installations. We take on all sizes of projects from simple extensions to existing systems right through to multi thousand outlet cabling installations in new and existing offices including the voice systems integration.
Our Cabling Sciences installations are provided with a 15 or 25 year performance guarantee backed by the system manufacturer giving every client peace of mind with the quality of installation. A benefit of being part of a larger IT services group is that where required we are able to offer a complete network design package including the specification of the active network equipment.
Experience
Here are few examples of completed installations.
Fermain Hotel / Healthspan Leisure Group Fusion installed the structured cabling system into this extensively refurbished high specification hotel. A Cat5e cabling system was used such that Voice over IP telephony could be incorporated as part of the Hotels services to clients.
Credit Suisse - St Peter Port, Guernsey. Mill Court is a newly built prestigious office block in which Credit Suisse Fund Administration became the lead tennant for. In 2005 Fusion installed over 1,500 Cat5e network points and associated fibre optic connectivity to link different floors and ICT rooms.
Previously at Helvetia Court, which Credit Suisse still occupies, Fusion installed 3,500 Cat 5 outlets and fibre optic backbone to replace IBM type cabling that was originally installed in the building. A very tight programme of works was adhered to whilst areas of a working office could be vacated by the staff, re-cabled and handed back to the client before moving on to the next area. In addition to the data cabling we installed 24 100 pair voice cables.
Volaw Trust & Corporate Services - St Helier, Jersey. Fusion installed approximately 400 Cat 6 outlets into the existing premesis whilst the building was occupied to upgrade the cabling system that was previously installed. A re-design of the computer room and equipment cabinets has provided better management and ease of configuration of the IT infrastructure.
States of Guernsey Education Council. In 2005 Fusion installed the Cat5e structured cabling system at the new Grammar School Sixth Form Centre. The work included fibre optic links to the main Grammar School ICT facilities to join the two sites together.
Previously Fusion won the contract for Phase One and subsequently Phase Two of the data cabling upgrades required for the Guernsey Grid for Learning programme. A complex project covering over 40 schools requiring upgrade with minimum of disruption in co-ordination with other contractors.
Heritage Group - St Peter Port, Guernsey. We installed approximately 1,000 Cat 5/E outlets between the two new buildings that Heritage presently occupy in Le Marchant Street. The buildings were effectively new buildings in the heart of St Peter Port although there is a retained façade in the Masonic Hall building.
As a new building of significant size the programme of works required careful project management by our own team, flexibility with deployment of resources whilst working under the direction of the overall project management and main contractor. A 15 year performance guarantee was provided.
Bordage House - St Peter Port, Guernsey. Prior to the merger with Fortis Group MeesPierson occupied two buildings within St Peter Port and we have cabled both of them. The Le Bordage offices was a complete back to shell refurbishment of their original premises and fit out with new structural components - effectively a new build again with a retained façade. 600 Cat5/E outlets were installed throughout the new building. MeesPierson also occupy two floors of Elizabeth House in Ruette Bray. The structure was already complete when leases were signed and 400 Cat5/E outlets were installed. 15 year performance guarantees were provided.
