  Flying Boat BankClarity integration

BankClarity provides productivity software that enables the receipt and automated processing of bulk electronic downloads of bank transactions and automated posting and reconicilation in Flying Boat. BankClarity uses learn by example techniques to identify bank transactions and hence how to post them into the appropriate Flying Boat Ledger and sub-account. BankClarity also provides indefinite storage of bank transactions per account enabling regeneration of bank statements. An additional function provides for forecasting cash flows based on previous patterns and modelling future trends.   Flying Boat reviewed in STEP Extra Journal Spring 2005

A product review of Flying Boat will be published in the quarterly journal of the Society of Trust and Estate Practioners (STEP). Submitted by one of our user sites it provides a useful insight into Flying Boat. A copy of the review (PDF) can be downloaded here. April 05.

  GFSC Annual Return Support Utility

We have developed a number of functions to directly support the extraction of data needed to fulfil the requirements of the GFSC annual return. We have provided a number of routines that can be used to extract the statistical information - for example identifying the Directors and number of Directorships held - information that can then readily be entered into the return. For the Assets Under Administration calculation we have provided an Excel spreadsheet delivered data extract that lists entities by rows and values of assets by asset class / ledger class across the columns. Where entity associations have been defined in Flying Boat then entities are grouped in the spreadsheet to allow consolidation of assets and the avoidance of double counting assets. With these routines Flying Boat is driving down the costs associated with complying with regulatory requirements. December 04.

  ESOP / EBT Functions Extended

With increasing activity in the fiduciary sector for the administration of ESOPs and EBTs Fusion has been actively developing this Flying Boat sub-system. Unlike many other aspects of fiduciary administration this area seems to be typified by specific requirements that differ from site to site according to the needs of the schemes that are being administered.

The fundamentals of ESOP / EBT administration utilise the bookkeeping, statutory and entity database functions within Flying Boat. The ESOP / EBT sub-system provides mechanisms for administering schemes, managing member entitlements, reporting of data and most importantly, capture of data provided electronically from the sponsor. By automating the data capture mechanism major efficiency and cost savings have been delivered to our users in what were previously very labour intensive processes. December 04

  Flying Boat v2.50 Update 1 Released

Update 1 of the Flying Boat v2.50 release is now available and may be downloaded from our support site. This first update contains a number of enhancements and updates subsequent to the original release of this version. Posted 13th Oct 2003

  FT Interactive Integration

Another new feature built into v2.50 is integration with the Financial Times Interactive Data service. Through a right mouse click option in Flying Boat, any site that has access to the FT Interactive Data service can call up real time data on a particular stock.   Compliance & Due Diligence module enhanced for Flying Boat v2.50

With increasing pressure on fiduciary organisations to demonstrate compliance to the regulators our latest update to the Flying Boat Compliance & Due Diligence sub-system could not have come at a better time.
Changes include the introduction of linear questions. and further management facilities including reporting, analysis and enquiry functions - e.g. Which clients given a particular answer to a question or a particular score, which questionnaires are incomplete etc.
